My world is smashed, just like my front right light. Three thousand confusions enter my head, and now I understand what Joel meant when he said that he would not relinquish light. I'm trying. I will not relinquish light.

I dropped Ian off at Chandler's tonight after our walk, and we had put on Aniele's mix, Kissing After Dark, which I had never actually listened to. I just made myself a copy of all of my mixes. And it was dark, and it was so quiet after I dropped him off. And I turned the music up, and I just listened and it was wonderful. You know, my sister and her boyfriend have been going out for almost a year, their 12 month anniversary will be graduation night, and I swear that I've had more romance in my life than she has. Which is sad, if you think about it, because I've been boyfriendless for most of the "romantic" years. But it's true - my sister spends all of her time avoiding the arm that her boyfriend will snake around her waist, and refuse to hold hands with him. Which I don't understand. If you can be with someone for nigh on twelve months, you should appreciate that arm around your waist, that hand-holding. But listening to that mix, I think it's my best. Besides the Peter Frampton song that Chandler made me put on there - but other than that, it's beautiful. And perfect for driving in abandon with. I was so cold and lonely - not cold cold, but perfect spring weather, and the lights were all low. I took the long way home just to listen to it some more. Wow.
